Google Help HTC to Fight Apple

Chaotic patent infringement between the smart phone manufacturers increasingly heated world. HTC Corp. using nine patents were purchased from Google Inc.. as evidence against Apple Inc. in the fight patent infringement in court.

By bringing this evidence, HTC has more ammunition to challenge Apple, which accused Google's Android technology made from the second-largest mobile phone company in Asia that has the technology to imitate the iPhone.

Google's involvement in a dispute over patent rights is also happening on the manufacturers of smart phones using the Android operating system such as the Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc.., Barnes & Noble Inc. and Samsung Electronics Co.

"Google was moved to side with Android licensees and showing Google does not want to lose loyal customers who already use Android in phones made by them," said Will Stofega technology analyst IDC.

By sue-sue rampant cases this makes Google more and give great attention to the manufacture of patent portfolios as a shield against lawsuits for intellectual property. Since early this year, Google has patented some 1,000 technology products. Last month, Google is to spend 12.5 billion U.S. dollars to buy the patents Motorola Mobility, which consists of 17,000 patents in it.

HTC and Apple had been feuding for some time about this. In the previous case in July 2011, Apple won the case in court with the HTC charged with violating two patents of the three patents at issue. Apple is also doing another lawsuit, this time attacking the patent on the product tablets HTC.
